Why do some people on SW talk about the US as if it's the only country in the world?

SW isn't even a US site.

Isn’t it ? It was meant to replace EP, which was founded by someone living in the U.S. (in San Francisco). There are probably a majority people from the U.S. here, as there was then. Not that that excuses any xenophobia, it doesn’t. 🙁

@FrankietheFly Like I said, it was established to replace the Experience Project, founded by Armen Berjikly, an Armenian-American. When SW was being advertised that was how it was offered, in the wake of EP closing. It was mentioned that at least one of the founders had been a member of EP.
That’s why so many people here are from the U.S. If you’ve decided you don’t like people simply because they’re Americans, you’re going to have to block (conservatively) about 60% of the folks here. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@FrankietheFly I have both friends and family in the UK, so I don’t assume anyone’s anti-American, until they indicate that they are.

@FrankietheFly Meh, just a bit. 😉

@FrankietheFly If someone posted a question accusing people of behaving as if the UK were the center of the universe, I doubt you’d be confused. 😏

@FrankietheFly The irony is, you’re actually unlikely to hear much criticism here because many people in the US romanticize the British.
