The gas pedal controls the amount of gas to the engine

SW-User
@abe182 If that’s not true how did people use to flood their carborators?
abe182 · 51-55, M
@SW-User Idk about carburetors but fuel injection I know I'm right. You flood your car by the fuel pump over priming and no ignition.

SW-User
@abe182 I’m not arguing cars of today but I’m telling you without a doubt cars use to flood the carborator when pumping the gas pedal to start them. We don’t have to press the accelerator now days to start the car.

@SW-User you're probably correct. Today's cars the pedal controls air, the computer controls fuel so that the ratio of air to fuel is ALWAYS ALWAYS at 14.7:1
