A hypothetical choice for you

A mysterious stranger finds you one day and gives you a choice, and what hes saying is an absolute certainty.

You can become a being of godlike power if you accept, but the price is sacrifice, more specifically every person alive in your country, except for a few select family/friends.

There would be no way to reverse it after, but there's obviously a huge potential for good afterwards..
