If you hit someones dog on the road...would you stop?

Someone hit my dog today and didnt stop. Thank goodness hes gonna make it.

I hope they just didn't notice.
I would stop. To at least move the animal off the road if possible if no one was around.
I hope your poor dog makes a full recovery
