How do you feel about down loading aps tyat want to invade your privacy?

I just bought a cell phone through AT&T, I've used them for years w/out any real issues. So I was going to put my contacts in the internal phone book and right away there's a problem, my phone book on my phone wants access to my photos, all my files and my location, all of which is nobodies business except my own. So I denied it permission and because I won't give it the power to invade my privacy, I can't store my contacts in my phone which is a major inconvenience. How do you feel about these apps that force you to give up your constitutional rights. What are they doing with all that information and who all do they sale it to, and what are they doing with it?

When they know who you are ,where you are
If your a gun owner or not
Have your kids been dumbed down enough and have no clue what reality is anymore ,and how many of them you have (future soldiers )
And images of you and your liabilities and their images are all loaded on to a national data base (they may not be able to break you ,but what if they have your loved one ?)
You DNA ,Eye and finger prints all on the data base too, easier to identify your body ,or in the event they have to capture you

They have our countries sufficiently divided or to addicted to something to care .

They will cause an event ,so scary
You will give up your illusion of privacy and civil liberties
for security .

And then they will have your kids report you ,,If you don't comply ,,,and surrender your guns and any and all means to defend yourself ,,,how long is that pocket knife you got for Christmas? if its over 3" its a weapon

"only outlaws will have them then " Get it

We can't have nut jobs defending themselves from a hostile take over
Your second amendment my eye
It said and I quote ": "A well regulated Militia "
That not you nut job ,hand over your guns

(This one is not dumbed down enough ,he know that means to protect himself against a government gone rouge ,that no longer ensures their liberties ,or obeys any law ,,
What do I do sir ,,he is refusing to disarm )

@rckt148 True, I thought they would have to pry my guns from my cold dead hands, it wasn't like that at all. Everything was unexpected and it was easier than taking candy from a baby.
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@Imjohnnycash other countries they had them all register their guns ,,then if one is stolen or used in a crime
we can locate the criminal faster ,if your not a criminal
then you have nothing to worry about ,,
Then they outlawed them and used the registry to round them up
Now citizens brag they have no gun crimes

They don't know who the real criminals are ,,,,Yet

@rckt148 I'm not aware of bragging about the "lack" of gun rights.

What I am aware of is that not every country on earth is like the United States (both for better and for worse!) and what works (or, many would argue, doesn't work) there doesn't need to be universally applicable.
Imjohnnycash · 26-30, M
@rckt148 there is a country in Europe, I can't recall the name, but they require all citizens own a firearm. They brag that they have one of the lowest crime rates in the world. I would, if I was a robber, certainly think twice b4 I robbed somebody I knew was armed,
LiteralElite · 31-35, F
@Imjohnnycash I think it's Switzerland, and is because they have compulsory military service and when in the reserves for however long afterwards, you keep your gun at home, rather than because they inherently love Guns for All. (Also, of course, all these gun-owners have been very well trained, and the guns themselves are registered, which presumably would be anathema to some Americans? IDK?)
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@LiteralElite Some do not see the bigger picture
all they see and care about is all a smoke screens ,
actually allowed and even orchestrated by the very people who say they are now protecting us
The USA changed forever after 911 ,and very little of it for our good
You can't screen for violence or arm enough troops and cops to combat it
A van is a weapon ,a truck load of fertilizer is
Propane gas is a good one ,Methane we now tap to run factories ,natural gas lines now under all our streets
fuel tanks now above ground at most gas stations
Aviation fuel at most air ports just to name a convenience or useful product ,that can kill more people then guns and you don't need to be from a country that dislikes us to use it to harm ,some of the worst crimes have been Americans against Americans ,,and not all of them needed a gun

Well trained Vets can make a weapon out of anything ,anything

The false sense of security most Americans see as a good thing ,,will be the very things that bite them in the butt
and the biggest shock will be the constitution won't protect them ,,it will be the document ,that seals our fate
LiteralElite · 31-35, F
@rckt148 I think there you make a very good point. People will probably be litigating the constitution even as the country disintegrates around them.

OTOH the US has survived since 1789 under the document and all that's required is a willingness to co-operate and compromise a little. I'm a firm optimist in the long run.
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@Imjohnnycash See thats the thing ,if you know I am ready for you ,,you will pass me and my family on by
Anything I have ,is not worth dying for
and if I have ,and you need it ,,I would give it to you
but don't think your just waltzing in here and take it

So I see that as a good thing ,,
People who kill people everyday aren't well trained soldiers
they are thugs with no code of honor (not that Vets haven't gone off their rockers and done a lot of harm too ,some have .
Disarming law abiding citizens is not the answer
and no one likes it when I say
A lot of it would end if parents paid more attention to their kids ,and give them better things to do then dream of the day they can put a cap in a fools head
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@LiteralElite wish I could be innocent again
but when you know divide and conquer tactics working very effectively ,and its happening before our eyes and most don't care ,,we Americans need something to hate ,,so they give it to them ,,we no longer allow blood sports ,so they had sports but now they have made them so safe and political (with a lot of power I might add ,,,who has more power then the Pope
the NFL and NASCAR ,,fans are loyal
its just a matter of time before I know I will see a bigger plan unveiled ,and who Oz really is
Imjohnnycash · 26-30, M
@rckt148 A lot of the mass shootings can be back tracked to pharmaceuticals, or mind control drugs, we all hear them talk of feelings of suicide or strange thoughts, what do you think they don't say the strange thoughts are, anybody that thinks nothing of suicide wouldn't be bothered by thoughts of killing somebody else. And you always hear that they was having mental issues, more than likely taking anti depressants.
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@Imjohnnycash A lot of mental issues are from being given everything ,to much entertainment ,not enough actual hard work ,
A word I hear more and more that I literally hate is
"I'm bored ",,and another big one "I suffer from social anxiety.
Well if you never go outside ,everything is given to you
you have a billion channels ,game consoles but your bored
To much dopamine from a device addiction ,
not enough fresh air and exercise add hormones ,and drugs they don't need
Yea another melt down waiting to happen
LiteralElite · 31-35, F
@rckt148 People can be genuinely shy so let's not totally knock social anxiety....but I think you also hit the nail on the head....while there's nothing inherently wrong with tv or video games like anything, too much unrestricted can be incredibly harmful, in this case for mental health.

Like everything, there needs to be a balance. Yet we live in a society where in every regard people are told, see ads, etc, to go to the extremes of spending money or doing an activity or political/religious beliefs.

Moderation in all things 👍️ (except cheese of course)
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@LiteralElite 😭
I take narcotics for pain ,,so though I love cheese
it does not love me
But once in a while I say the hell with it
You only live once ,,,and I start eating prunes I actually hate .or warm prune juice
It sucks to get old ,,and you was wrong
I didn't die young saving someone
and my Corpse will no longer be a handsome one LOL
