How do you feel about down loading aps tyat want to invade your privacy?

I just bought a cell phone through AT&T, I've used them for years w/out any real issues. So I was going to put my contacts in the internal phone book and right away there's a problem, my phone book on my phone wants access to my photos, all my files and my location, all of which is nobodies business except my own. So I denied it permission and because I won't give it the power to invade my privacy, I can't store my contacts in my phone which is a major inconvenience. How do you feel about these apps that force you to give up your constitutional rights. What are they doing with all that information and who all do they sale it to, and what are they doing with it?

I think it's appalling and I have the same annoying problem.

The difficulty legally is that you're not giving up constitutional rights (assuming you're in the US) - the Bill of Rights protects citizens from their government (in theory anyway!), not from other people. For that you've got to sue them :(
