Bet I can make you cry....

I do like this song and I always have. I think it is filled with so much wisdom. Nothing material in life means anything at all,and to spend one's life chasing the almighty buck means one lives a wasted life,and realizing this brings great sadness..

@SW-User Very deep answer. That is how I interpret it too.
Such a sad song. I get choked up every time I hear it much less watch the video.

@Dainbramadge This one and "I'm Going Through Changes" reminds me of my brother.💔

@Peaches :-(
Peaches · F
Sadly I can relate to this song, it reminds me of my brother that I lost like this. 😭💔💉🖤💙
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Peaches I'm sorry to hear that. :-(

@Dainbramadge Thank you, it was a long time ago and I like to think he's in a much better place. ⭐️
Tried to watch but it says 'blocked in your country'!
Great artist, but I love Roy Orbison too.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Ramblingrose I never understood the whole " Blocked in your country " thing.

My empire of dirt
enigma666 · 36-40, F
@Dainbramadge it is meaning the only thing he has left is the grave he's in

Man in black one of the true greats

As his other song says tho ain't no grave gonna hold his body down
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@enigma666 Now that's a great interpretation. Loved that man.
enigma666 · 36-40, F
@Dainbramadge never will be another like him
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I love this
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@pennynoodles Yeah I do too even tho it is so sad.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I actually thought you sounded a tiny bit like Johnny Cash
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@pennynoodles 😮. Actually I do have a Johnny cash voice I use when I sing his songs that I'm not embarrassed of. :-)
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@xixgun Not even a little??
Unquestioned · 70-79, M
Not crying, just sad.
Unquestioned · 70-79, M
@Dainbramadge I've seen the video a few times over the past 7 or 8 years. I loved some of his music.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Unquestioned I'm a huge fan. I think one of the first songs I learned on the guitar was Folsom prison blues. Which incidentally is the first song I am teaching my boy. :-)
Unquestioned · 70-79, M
That was the first album I bought of his.
