Why didn’t Miss Kitty turn the Long Branch Saloon into a private club?

It would have saved Dodge City a whole lotta drama if she had kept the riff-raff out.

but that would exclude people like Festus, whom i adore

@BiasForAction What about Chester?
@cherokeepatti Chester was boring. but when Dennis Weaver played McCloud, now that was interesting.

@BiasForAction Oh Chester was a really nice guy and a gentleman. He could still get into trouble due to how nice he was though.

The bar could not survive without the riff-raff. Has the Marshall ever paid for a drink?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@GunSmoke9 Good point...but maybe they put it on his account and he paid it off once a month. Businesses used to give credit to those in good standing who had a farm or a job.

@cherokeepatti Maybe. I was just having fun pointing out that the Marshall never seems to pay.

@GunSmoke9 He might get robbed if he carries a big wad of cash around a bunch of bar drunks.

@Greybare It’s not nice to spread gossip and rumors about the townsfolk unless you see it with your own eyes it didn’t happen. But someone might comment why buy the cow when the milk is free?
