I know its probably wrong, but, sometimes I get a good laugh making my kids cringe by using popular or even outdated slang. LOL Sometimes im not Crushdaddy, but, Crushfather, instead.

A long-standing parental privilege. My 85 year old mother once asked my godson about his tastes in music and speculated that he probably liked that “hippity-hop music, Snoopy dog and such, like the young people do...” 😅
But “woke” goes back to their generation, which a lot of post-millennials don’t realize.
