I recently have started studying Iranian history, geography, and culture, pre, and post Islam...

Iran is one of the oldest civilization among all civilization... it goes back to 3200 BC...

Except for once, Centuries back, Iran has never, ever started a war..

@SW-User Well, they're extremely progressive and respectable culture-wise. Yet there is this trend of innocent people suffering and being targeted, which has nothing to do with religion, but more about politics.

Yeah, I know how much of valuable historical monuments and shrines was destroyed when it was invaded. I mean there was a period when everywhere around the world, all the kings and rulers did was invade neighbouring countries and conquer land. It's nothing to do with religion.

However, I feel that for whatever reason, and unfortunately, while many parts of the world have settled down n started concentrating more on peace n progress, there are still some parts in the world that has never seen peace.

Every present war around the world, is initiated by the greed of politicians and their huge investor friends, even if they are not involved in those wars directly.. that's sad..

@Soossie Exactly!!! Politics is using religion as a tool....and I think it's time that the good Muslims stand up and show the world that they're not happy with the terrorists... they're not supporting them or agreeing with what they say. I think the reason more people are going against all Muslims is that they cannot see many Muslims who stand up and voice their anger about such terrorist acts.

Hami wrote an excellent post yesterday condemning the terrorist attack and how he feels terrible and he got so much love and support here.

Religion is being misused as a weapon of war these days, that's the tragedy.

Ignorance is dangerous... any ignorant, including terrorists of any kind, can be target of politicians, economists, cartels with agenda..

Media, is doing a good job as the second strongest tool of politicians...

Anyhow, I am tired of seeing man against himself... we should learn better, by love and kindness..

Discussing about Muslims in such a sensitive time will only lead to unnecessary discussions about their culture. Why even go there? The root cause of these unrests is a group of crazy people. They have no religion.

@Soossie Exactly!!! One of my closest friends is a Muslim...she's a Pakistani. And when she heard of certain news in the media and hatred on FB, she called me and she was so scared that I might hate her! I told her that my love for her will never change or get altered by anything....and we both cried. I mean it's really scary to see so much hatred around.
