Napoleon used to say history is just the lies that the winners make up to make them sound good.
I believe that these days the history isn't written just for that but also to distract and tamper with societies self awareness and peddle influence.
It's a lie that human nature doesn't change greatly as the world about them forces us to adapt to different ways of doing things. It's a case of not seeing the forest for the trees. Nobody sees small incremental change.
But it does.

The crazy thing about Harappan civilization is that they are so advanced technologically that they had central sewage system, sophisticated house building when the rest of the world are still savages.
