So first off, new women on this site (as with much of the internet) get harassed by a series of creeps. The easiest way to reduce that is to turn off your 'online' indicator under account settings. They're the worst thing about this site.
SW is a pseudonymous (you share what you want) social media site where people kinda just... shoot the shit in a space that's pretty good for discussing personal issues. There's a mix of stuff like random Q&A (most of the content), creative works, confessionals, and so forth.
Think of this as a kind of online small town community and just a really interesting random sample of people.
