How expensive it is being a dog owner?

I believe as expensive as having a child.
Just went to the vet and my jaw dropped when the vet computed everything from PF to lab fees and meds.

Dogs cost an average of a thousand dollars a year. Children cost much more than that......

@JustLikeGreta comparing doc visits, more or less similar. But yes generally, children are more expensive.
