Whenever I vent about muffins someone's always like "just make some"

Do that many people really just have all the ingredients to make muffins laying around the house?

Cuz honestly making muffins isn't worth driving half an hour to the store, buying the ingredients, driving half an hour back, mixing them all up, waiting for them to bake, and having muffins fucking 3 hours from now.
