who needs the devil when ...

Who has need of a "external devil" when there is so much evil energy inside each of our psyche. between the lust greed jealousy fear and damaged emotional development from childhood trauma, how can I fear some red guy with a pitchfork, when the real monsters look back at me in the mirror?
*sigh*
don't worry - just woke up from a night of nightmares - but i'm gonna grab some coffee and I'll be fine.
Just an interesting though.
