@SW-User absolutely. In times of stress, it's hard to remember that. You would not have that job, if you were not capable of doing it.

@SW-User Yes one does tend to be grateful yet at 3 in the morning one tends to have the craving for tea and crumpets.

@SW-User My neice isnt well and she left the dog with us. My dad, 90, often triggers the dog my growling at her ( he wants to play with her ) and the dog gets angry and then attacks him ..
God the noise of the barking !! Then we get a bit annoyed with him and ge takrs offence lol. His like a child but I love him.I

@SW-User my sister had one, his name was Ikaika, which is Hawaiian for warrior, I believe. That little dog was fiercely protective of my niece. I loved him!

@SW-User They do protect. Only thouse that own dogs know how much they are protective.

@SW-User I love it too. I miss Ikaika. When he died, my niece was devastated. My sister called bawling her eyes out, and I could hear my niece screaming in the background. She was only 14..they had Ikaika for about 10 years, and my sister rescued him from the pound.

@SW-User then we won't. She is a sweet addition to your family, a wonderful pet. Little dogs are hearty creatures; Ikaika didn't die of natural causes. They lived out in the country, and it looked like another animal killed him.
