Would this be right?

I’m going thru issues with religion and it’s rules and following my own desires.Would that be called religious dissonance?Or what?

Dissonance is usually used to refer to cognitive dissonance - two simultaneous thoughts that don't co-exist. Such as "I believe in the Bible but the Bible tells me things I hate".

@CountScrofula so what other way can I describe it?

@Pretzels Well what's an example of the kind of issue you're dealing with?

@Pretzels Is this just about temptation, or are you questioning the rules you've been taught?
Pretzels · 26-30, F
@CountScrofula not questioning the rules at all.just the temptation yeah.

@Pretzels Sorry! I'm at work.

The word is just temptation. It's not even necessarily a conflict with your religion. Sex before marriage is a common taboo and LOTS of people have sex before marriage no matter how religious they are 'cause... people wanna have sex and that situation has always existed.

It's a thing for you to work out with your beliefs and maybe a religious authority figure you trust. There's not really a special word for it though or if there is it's not gona lend you any more insight.
