Grow a thick skin. I can take critcism about my writing, a little bit with my art but it is hard when someone criticise me as a person. For writing I would go on writing groups and ask the to critique my work also for art.

@Jeephikelove makes since. You should be vulnerable with your partner and they should be loving. As far as I know.
