How cold is “too cold?”

I’m not a fan of winter - I think the thing I like least is the cold weather’s effect on my health (triggers my asthma). Snow is nice, and I like winter clothes. But the cold is where I draw the line. A few weeks ago, I considered 30°F too cold (I live in southern Ohio). However, after recently experiencing 9° with a wind chill of -10° I think 30° is warm (relatively).
What’s your breaking point with cold weather?

When I was younger, the region in which I live had, like clockwork, about three days in late December almost every year in which temperatures plummeted to the –15°F to –26°F range. There was never any wind on these days, and I used to really enjoy going out on those days (this annual trend has since been done away with by global warming). That's of course something I partook in secure in the knowledge that I had a warm house to return to whenever I wanted, though; on the other hand, I once nearly froze to death when I had to spend a few days outdoors in weather around –5°F.

Overall, if one is dressed for the occasion, not at risk of involuntary long-term exposure, and generating some heat from physical activity, I’d say anything down to about –10°F isn’t too bad on a windless day. Wind chill, though, can fuck right off, I don’t even particularly like going out in 30°F on a windy day.
