I'd prefer it to stay at 40 and above always, but I won't do below -20.

When I was younger, the region in which I live had, like clockwork, about three days in late December almost every year in which temperatures plummeted to the –15°F to –26°F range. There was never any wind on these days, and I used to really enjoy going out on those days (this annual trend has since been done away with by global warming). That's of course something I partook in secure in the knowledge that I had a warm house to return to whenever I wanted, though; on the other hand, I once nearly froze to death when I had to spend a few days outdoors in weather around –5°F.

Overall, if one is dressed for the occasion, not at risk of involuntary long-term exposure, and generating some heat from physical activity, I’d say anything down to about –10°F isn’t too bad on a windless day. Wind chill, though, can fuck right off, I don’t even particularly like going out in 30°F on a windy day.

-30 I consider cold

low temps alone don't really bother me, even below zero...

it's below zero temps and 40+mph wind that literally takes your breath away that pushes breaking limit...

@Stereoguy me either but that's fine if the sun is out. But I hate cloudy days anyway.
