Do you open your curtains to allow some sunlight in or do you prefer darkness?

I open the curtains and windows to allow fresh air in after cleaning, but I generally prefer a dim setting.

the wife has sheers hung in the living areas, so the sun shines right thru 'em! In the bedrooms, we keep the curtains closed.
