What kind of Uncle offers to buy a Victoria secret bra for his grown niece?

@Carla it could go either way. I wouldn't buy my nieces anything like that myself, not because I'm a perv but because they are picky. However my two college aged nieces pull me into VS every time we go to the mall. They love that stuff. We don't know enough about the story to know. He may be a perv or he might be a doting uncle that buys his niece anything she wants. He should get her a gift certificate though because even if he isnt pervy people will think he is. I know that I have a younger niece that could have anything age appropriate that she wants from me and we are close enough that someday if she asks for something like that I might buy it for her.

@Fungirlmmm But you’re their aunt. That does seem more normal. I’d never buy underwear for my nieces but that’s just me.

@Fungirlmmm i get that. Somewhere on this thread i read that the gift receiver was a bit...unnerved by the suggestion.
And as i commented, said uncle just needs an eye kept on him a while.

@Carla Yes, I didn't see that until after I made my comment. I know a young man that lost his career and new wife after being accused of being a sex offender. (Don't want to trigger anyone so that is all I will say.) I knew his family and the accusers family. He had a great life ahead of him and he lost his job and wasn't allowed to be in the home with his newborn child at the time. He kept saying I didnt do this. I never touched her. The trial took a couple years to come to fruition and after all was said and done, lie detectors taken which he passed, and she failed, etc. She admitted on cross examination that she lied. The last I heard the young man finally got to see his child at 4 years old and he was working in fast food trying to piece his life back together. This changed my opinion a lot. I don't automatically think perv anymore. It is important to protect the innocent, even when they are the accused. This guy does seem like he made either a really bad decision or he is a perv though

@Fungirlmmm there must be a way to investigate the accused without public character assassination. Public figures, notwithstanding. I hate seeing folks lives ruined because of personal retribution. When an accuser is proven to have lied, with malice, there should be real consequences.

@Carla She was a minor. Her identity was protected and his wasn't. I just am more willing to hear both sides and be more non judgmental since I knew everyone supposedly involved. It took a lot for her to admit she lied too. I just wanted you to have a little background on why I said what I said.

@Carla I'm definitely not a pervy person. I mark all my stories adult or nude because I want to avoid young people lol. Even my stories that aren't.

@Fungirlmmm True. I have seen people destroyed this way and that is why I don't jump to conclusions. Also I have nieces and am parental toward them and If they need clothes I would try to help. The problem seems to be a creepy uncle stereotype. But somehow it is okay for a father to buy his daughter underwear? Bit of a double standard. Now if it was like crotchless panties I would be going O.o
