Why do we want and love those who hurt us the most and leave us when they want to leave us and come back when the want us and use us like a puppet

For the same reasons we prize diamonds and Maseratis, because they're hard to find and hard to keep.
And because we don't demand to be treated the way we deserve. We allow people to use us because we can't have them if we insist they treat us like we are as valuable as they are.
In the long run, they don't respect us because we don't respect ourselves, so why should they?
Maybe you can't have [i]that[/i] person by requiring them to treat you the way you want, but you can have someone else who will see you as the diamond you are, if you let yourself shine.
