Even if you are a victim, dont remain one

I so agree, Carla, but it's easier said than done. It's so much easier, and EVER so much more convenient for me to maintain my coping devices, keeping me connected to SOMETHING, than it is to find people to connect with who are open, accepting and dare to be vulnerable to their own feelings about the things I do to maintain my survival strategy, keeping me a victim.

@PhoenixPhail survival is what it's all about for all of us. Those things you do to maintain that strategy are exactly what keeps you going. If you truly remained a victim, you would have no strategy at all.
@Carla I would rather not be STUCK in survival. It gets in the way of my living. My survival HAS, indeed, kept me alive all these years, but it's also kept me detached from my true being. THAT'S what I'm wanting to experience.

@PhoenixPhail step away from the fear of life.
@Carla That would seem to involve stepping away from engaging in society, when fear is so heavily promoted. It's the most prevalent feeling there is.

@PhoenixPhail society guides us, but shouldnt control us. If you can find a way to trust who you are, what you feel, then maybe you can free yourself from the lines that have you tied. Others expectations arent important. Your expectations are.
@Carla 🤗 Thank you for your wise words.
