When did it be necessary for a cop to know when your anniversary is?

A friend of mine was pulled over yesterday for having a headlight out. He belittled the cop, so he was arrested. Of course, his drivers license had his birthday on it, and when the were at the station, he asked to call his wife and let her know what had happened. He wasn't allowed to until he told them when his anniversary is. WTF?

Some cops are belligerent. My sister was nineteen, noticeably pregnant with her first child, and walking with her husband after a late dinner at an Old Town restaurant. They were stopped by a cop who wanted to know what they were doing out after curfew. My brother-in--law protested, "I'm telling you, officer, this is my wife!" The cop responded with, "Don't get smart with ME, punk!"

They were taken to the local precinct house, and hassled and harassed until they pulled out every piece of ID they had to prove they were over 18 and husband and wife. When they were allowed to leave, the arresting officer looked at my sister one more time and blurted, "Well, gee, you look like you're as old as my sister!"

Linda asked him, "How old is your sister?"

The cop replied, "Sixteen."
