'Outsourcing' is very unfortunate. It seems that 'ethics', 'honesty' and 'integrity' are not real big in India as a general rule.

But the same can be said for countries outsourcing to countries like India.
They want to cut costs. Cutting costs has to come at some cost. And long term repercussions.
@SW-User Yes. Unfortunately, a thick Indian accent coming from your phone is a guarantee that you are being fleeced or about to be fleeced. It's not a reflection of the Indian people so much as a reflection of 'desperate' face of capitalism. I am a staunch defender of free market capitalism, but I'm not blind. If I had a choice between digging around in a landfill and working in a call center, I would be doing the same exact thing.

@puck61 I'd not judge a whole country by the call centres. They're just selling and all sellers are a bit of con people. Though I do agree that some cultures have more sticky people. Lol.

I am sure they also have tiers of professionalism as any other country. They are just much less polite than the western world.
@SW-User I've actually had them cursing me with the foulest language imaginable for not listening to their spiel! Like I said though, despite how it sounds, I am not trying to insult the great economic hub of India! Poverty feeds desperation, and my beloved capitalism feeds ON desperation.
