How many abortions is too many?

My friend and I were arguing because I believe that if someone has an abortion, that's a really big deal and I'm not sure I could be their freind if I knew.

However my friend believes that in this day and age, a woman should be able to have 3 abortions before people have the right to judge them. But anything past 3 is really bad.

Who's right?

Uh, people can have as many as they need. You don't know their circumstances, so there's no point in judging. And even if you did know the circumstances, why are you even worried about what other people do with their bodies? That seems kind of juvenile.

So if that take crack or cut themselves, it’s there body we shouldn’t care.@SW-User

@SW-User Because they're literally killing babies because they're stupid enough to not wear protection? 🤔
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
not just their body though. @SW-User
SW-User
@AnneHoney You should rephrase your question.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst People literally have abortions for reasons other than having sex without protection, mate.
SW-User
@PlumBerries That's what pro-life people say, yeah.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SW-User "and even if you did know the circumstances"
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst You're quoting what I said...and I'm unsure why, since you aren't offering commentary.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SW-User thought you'd be witty enough to figure out why.. hmm.. well you see, saying what you said implies that no matter the circumstances you shouldnt care. Now that's a little careless of you now isn't it?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst That doesn't have anything to do with wit. You quoted me and didn't explain why.

I'm not concerned with what it implies. You can care if you want, but why would you? It isn't like you can turn back time to stop them from doing it. It's easy to judge people when you aren't in their shoes. It wouldn't be my place to judge others. I'm human. It would be more careless to birth the child and not give it the love it deserves, or birth the child and leave it to live a hard life. There are many sides to it.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SW-User

You can however.. change the law. And you can care.. even though it's already done. To add to how it's from a certain perspective murder, it's a sign of bad character and ignorance within the person who performs it.

I do not think that'd be more careless, no. That's pain that a human has to experience, sure, but 1# you shouldnt be in that position in the first place unless you're already that careless, and 2# Saying that killing your baby/kid/whatever just because you couldn't be arsed to take care of it is not any more responsible.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@MartinTheFirst Dude how can you even compare it to murder ? that is a ludicrous statement !
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@SW-User For some reason some people just always seem to want to force their values on other people even if they're in no way involved.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ChatterinSeuss What is murder? Killing another human being.

What is abortion?
Yes indeed.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@ChipmunkErnie it is not even a mans choice !
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ChatterinSeuss That's another side of the problem now isn't it. A father wants to keep his child but has no say, the mother goes and aborts it anyway.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst Mate, you can think what you'd like. But in the end, you aren't the woman having the abortion, so even if you wanted to understand, you likely wouldn't.

Make choices based on your beliefs if you'd like. I'm not trying to stop you or argue with you.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@MartinTheFirst so you would rather have a child born that is abnormal or severely handicapped only because you didn't want to terminate it?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@ChatterinSeuss IF we're talking a relationship between a man and a woman, then the man involved should have some say in the situation which he is intimately involved with, BUT the final say has to be the woman's.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SW-User I'm not the person making abortions, indeed, I don't know what it feels like to have one. I am indeed allowed to believe what I want. Thanks for stating the obvious.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@MartinTheFirst I don't see you carrying a child in your belly for nine months, so why should you be involved in the choice. your only donation was the sperm.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ChatterinSeuss Yes. If you'd ask a severely handicapped child if they'd want to die, they'd often say no. Why? Because a handicap isn't enough of a burden to want to die, especially if you dont know anything else. Shoot a kid in the face just because it's handicapped and then we'll see if you did it from mercy or selfishness and ignorance.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ChatterinSeuss Because they chose to have sex with you and become pregnant. That's exactly why a father too should have a choice.
ChatterinSeuss · 61-69, M
@MartinTheFirst I take it you have no children right. serious question.
