Do height and shoe size have something in common?

I'm 5'11 and wear size 10 shoes. I used to were a size 8 1/2 but went up a half a size after every one of my kids.

I used to think that was a ol'wives tale.

I'm 5' 8" and I wear a 12 wide shoe.

6'6" size 13 shoe

I'm 4'11" and wear anywhere from a size 3 to 5.
