Why do American barbecues on tv always look so lame?

Sausages and hamburger patties, where’s the chops, steak and kebabs?

I was amazed that Americans and Canadians don't really eat lamb to any significant extent, despite sheep/goat being the most commonly eaten meat in the world.

@Swann I've just started eating meat again and it's too cold for barbecuing here now, but as soon as the sun comes back in the new year, this is what I'm doing.
