would it be good for humanity if alcohol was banned for consumption?
I wish alcohol was illegal for consumption. alcohol has had a big impact on my life. It is only truly illegal in nine countries like bangladesh afganastan saudi arabia iran and sudan, they all are in or near the middle east.
some people say that alcohol keeps some people from doing worse things its a way to cope with things for some people and that's why they say it would be worse if it was illegal. I don't agree with that I think its worse to have it ,that people need to find better coping mechanisms and they would if they had no other options.

Historically, alcohol has been around for centuries and our societies have still progressed and continues to innovate. It's crossed cultures, is heavily encouraged in multiple religious, festive environments and continues to be consumed to develop friendships, business relations and bond families (lol, I know relations that can't function without it).

By the same token, I've met many people who's lives have been destroyed and haunted by it.
However, I think banning/abstaining from something shows a lack of control and not a healthy way to deal with any social issue.

I honestly believe education is the answer. It helps us understand what, how and why things happen and gives context and empowers people. Otherwise, banning is like hiding in fear of something that might not always be that negative.
