Watch them in the public arena for awhile first

People outright messaging you with no interaction in posts are most likely desperate perverts, just look around for a while, get involved with posts and see who you click with.

How can strangers answer this? Something catches your eye, you respond. There no more to it

I ignore most of my messages and only respond on the rare occasions when someone has an inquiry about a question of mine.

I get so many messages that lead to unwanted sexual conversations, it's like they start to have a pattern. So I'll usually be suspicious of a message if all it says is hi or hey, or some other one word greeting. Then I check out their profile and if they have no public posts or replies, and all their groups listed are perverted or sex themed, they get ignored.

If they actually have something they want to talk about with me, and they provide the topic, I'll absolutely try to answer it. I'm just sick of people initiating a conversation and then expecting me to have a topic ready. Like, no, it doesn't work that way.

If they express a genuine interest in talking to me beyond simply saying "hey" I may engage them.

Some people's agendas are those of kindness and compassion. (And I know what you mean. It's hard to know what you're getting, but at least here, you don't have to keep being with them.)

Who doesn't have that? Would you talk without a reason or preference ?

Just interact with anyone who seems interesting, until/unless their agenda conflicts with yours and they refuse to put it away after you ask them nicely.

Everyone had an agenda you just have to see if there agenda coincides with yours.

I think it’s only polite to respond to all messages as long as they aren’t offensive.

Try to initiate the conversation, if you like them interact. If you don't like stop replying simple 😊

I never get more than 1 message a day so not much need to choose

I normally like to chat about groups or the persons likes or my likes.

Well, find out what their agenda is and then make up your mind.

Check peoples groups and see there intersts

There's some just wanting company.

Some messages are obvious candidates for the trash. Much like the letters I still get for some reason... I don’t want all this paper, kids, make your parents put it on the fridge or something.

Hell I just respond to everyone.

I respond to all that arent gay old men
