Can you prevent someone from commenting on fb without blocking them

i have someone on my fb. i don’t wanna delete him as a friend (although i could .... quietly) but sometimes his comments are rude or embarassing. i’ve already changed my settings so he cannot see my new posts but i just changed my profile pic and got another unnecessary comment. We are just friends btw but he’s rude, abrasive.

Send him a email or private message telling him you don't appreciate the rudeness.

i think he has really liberal view of what is appropriate. for example he used to send me pics of girls boobs (privately) - Like what do i care? or one time i was at his house and in the kids room they had a mannequin with thongs on her. @SW-User he’s a different duck.

@NiftyWhite My old college roommate is like that somewhat. I don't tend to comment on his posts, but he does mine. I stay as an acquaintance out of pity.
