When I am at the store I also pick up things I can throw together for a quick meal after I get home.
Or sometimes what Missy and I do is buy stuff ( cheese, crackers, olives and a beverage, etc) and eat them at the store cafeteria, lol, they provide the plates and utensils and we go home happy with no dishes to clean

@SW-User I always do that when I travel. If the store doesn´t have a cafeteria , I eat them at a park like a picnic. Great food for a lot less and it beats street food because it´s clean and well refrigerated.
