@xixgun Yea. I guess that might be part of the problem. We should encourage patients and medical professionals to carry.

@CopperCicada Never. And we should NEVER expect teachers to carry and act as vigilantes. There is no reason at all we can't hire vets to work in the schools/hospitals, etc. to protect kids. But of course, that is FAR too logical of a solution and may just provide vets with jobs. My country and it's values (?) for human life is appalling.

I was in the ER a Saturday night a month back. A psyche patient was attacking staff, throwing things. Police were having a hard time containing him.

If staff was gunned up this dude so easily could have gotten armed. And of staff was shooting they'd have been shooting through curtained partitions, O2 lines. It would have been fucked up.
