I can hear the gun-bots now.

It's the patient's fault. They should have been carrying in the MRI and the surgical suite.

And it's the medico's job. They should have been carrying in ped-onc and Xray.

@CopperCicada Yep. Always.

@CopperCicada Despite your obvious animosity towards those who do not share your views, not everyone who owns/likes/has guns feels the way you described.
SW-User
@xixgun I don't think that's what he is saying.
@xixgun Well. A responsible gun owner is not what I would describe as a gun-bot.

But it will be said. By somebody. That it's the patients and medicos fault.

Just like it was the yoga practitioners fault in the yoga studio shooting not too far from here.

@SW-User My apologies. I'm so used to being caught up in broad sweeping statements any more that I can't help but feel it's implied, if not said outright, that I am included.
xixgun · M
@CopperCicada So far the only person that's said it, is you.
@SW-User Of course it's not.

I'm not even an advocate for gun restrictions.

I would give my spleen for a sane dialog about it all.
@xixgun I predicted it.

Just like a predicted it with the yoga studio shooting.

There's a shooting. Somebody notes it's in a gun free zone. The blame is then the people in the gun free zone not defending themselves.

I was brought up that it was the prick using the gun recklessly who was to blame.
SW-User
@xixgun I understand. I really do. No worries.
xixgun · M
@CopperCicada YOU are the only one that states because it is a gun free zone that the blame lies with the victims. No one else has stated or even implied this. MY comment about it being a "gun free zone" points out the ludicrousness of such a claim.
@xixgun I'm not an advocate for gun restrictions.

I'm not an advocate for attacking and limiting 2A.

My father and godfather were veterans and worked at Savage Arms making guns when they were younger.

Came up with guns. Had my own until a friend was murdered.

I'm just sick of this bullshit rhetoric.

Like how the fuck is a woman doing child's pose in a yoga studio derelict for not defending herself?

How the fuck is a synagogue derelict for not defending itself-- when there are no guns at temple?
@xixgun Bullshit. I've just share two examples of shootings VERY CLOSE TO HOME where the nature of the "gun free zone" was used to rationalize the tragedy. The yoga studio and the synagogue.

Before that Parkland.
@CopperCicada You would think people would finally lose the rhetoric about dangerous “gun-free” areas now that the worst mass shooting in our country took place in Nevada, which also has the most lax gun laws. The myth about all those “good guys with guns” who would come in to save everyone didn’t quite materialize. But anything to keep that conservative narrative running—refuted or not. 🙄

@bijouxbroussard Bingo. Deny deny deny.
