@Ynotisay I make light of situations because so much bad happens. If I feel bad about all the messed up things in my state alone, I would be in a mental breakdown.

It's a defense mechanism of mine to get through hardships in life. Sorry.

@SW-User I understand. It's called gallows humor. It's how a lot of people get by when they're in the shit. Soldiers are a good example. The downside is that the stuff gets buried. The result is usually being desensitized and callous or it comes to the surface and causes people to go off. I'm not psychoanalyzing you. Just sayin' that sometimes it's good when the first thought is compassion. But you do you.
