I love the 60s

I love everything about the 60s!
From the clothes, graphics, cartoons, tv shows, to the MUSIC, art, photography etc. if I could time travel or live in any era it’d probably be the 60s. I’d love to experience the summer of love and San Francisco in the 60s. I love psychedelic things. It’s one of my influences in my work. I know I probably sound like some dumb kid who doesn’t know anything but that’s how I feel about the 60s lol

It’s probably because my grandparents always shared their stories about life in the 60s and I felt like I had lived them too. I became fascinated with it I guess

I guess they never shared the negative things like the racism, the results of drug addtions, the unwanted pregnancies because of little or no contraceptions, the cults that brainwashed their followers. The political corruption. The rapes and murders, the Manson cult, the Jones town incidents, the Vietnam war.

There was much to not like about the sixties, not that many of those very same things are not happening today, just change is slow to come.

It's up to you though. You are young. You can still make some of the good things that happened then happen today. Just lets not repeat the many mistakes. And that list was just a small few of a very long list.

Yes I figured I’d get a comment pointing these things out. I’ve been told before about those things. The world is cruel but it’s great to be reminded of those things because unfortunately, they’re very real. @DeWayfarer

@Sb356 Then remember!!!

Many of the very things you like where a direct result of some of those negative things. The graphics, the psychedelics, the music even some of the clothes.

That free love isn't always freely accepted or always wanted. That freedom always comes at someone or something else's expense or lost there of.

Just remember this. Keep it in mind. History does repeat itself. Just not exactly in the same way.

As an example read up on the nineteen twenties. You just might be surprised at what happened then. LOL
