What do the Brits say about the American revolution in their history classes?

It was covered. Essentially the dispute about taxes and representation that led to it and then how it was a failure militarily from UK point of view. Most soldiers were unwilling peasants pressganged into the force few qualified soldiers. Basically underestimated the rebels. Obviously the part of the war in Europe with France, Spain and Holland probably given more prominence than American teaching also that was where UK focused best troops etc
