What do the Brits say about the American revolution in their history classes?

This question isn't open for attacks on the fellows across the pond and is a genuine query

They don’t even teach it in schools so I imagine most aren’t even aware of it until after school.

@NickiHijab We didn't go over Vietnam much, I wonder if insignificance, as Sharky said, coupled with defeat is the reason for both

@Jackaloftheazuresand Could be. We didn’t even learn about the British empire, surprisingly enough. I only recall learning about Slavery when it came to American history. You really have to take it upon yourself to learn what should be common knowledge. It’s pathetic. To me at least.

@NickiHijab Yeah that just sounds like they don't teach history. What the hell, even I learned some history and I was in an underfunded remote school with pretty limited course options.

@NickiHijab I was actually surprised to learn this through your comment. I should say though that it's still better to not teach anything about the Empire than glorify it. Although I'd say an indirect effect of the British Empire is the connectedness of the world today.

@MasterofNone That’s an interesting way to look at it. I guess you’re right in some ways.
