@Miram you must be hairy if they thought you was Turkish 😁
@Miram Arab is an ethnicity, but there are white and black ones.

@bijouxbroussard Not by themselves. They don't see themselves as caucasian and they do believe they have a different ancestor. My point was that it's no nationality
@JimboUk I am.

@Miram I do like me a Turkish woman but shaving cream, shavers and waxing bills go through the roof 😆

@bijouxbroussard Oh edited, skin isn't seen as a marker of race in all cultures. In mine we also have whites and blacks, varying eye colors and hair but we see them all as Amazighs.

I grew up in an Arab majority country and had to study the language, religion, cultures, history, politics, you name it, for more than a decade. I can assure you there is not a single work where they distinguish between themselves by colour but many works where Arabism is approached as a racial identity, especially post colonialism's.

If you go back as far as their prophet, you can also find quotes of him trying to end discrimination between his race and the A3jami.

@JimboUk I like hair D : That's all I have to say in the matter.
@Miram I get it. The English consider themselves a "race" too, but technically they're not, as the term was originally defined. Same with Latinos, and that term not only encompasses different racial groups, but actual ethnicities and nationalities.
