I don't agree. What's an example of that that you've encountered?

@SW-User like how implying a man is sexually inadequate is funny, but implying a woman is sexually inadequate is misogynistic.

@SW-User There's dozen or two women who think saying "kill all men" is funny, if a man said that about women, they'd get swatted faster than you can say "But 'kill all men' is pretty funny, really'.

@Faust76 Yeah, it's my opinion that if you're going to say "kill all X", be prepared for anything in response. Similarly "cancel white people" is okay, but "cancel black people" would be the most racist thing ever.
I believe you can potentially joke about anything. It depends on the audience and the joke. I'm not offended by a joke if it's actually funny. But sometimes people are just being cruel.

@SW-User I was hoping not to touch the actual parent post's reasoning with a seven foot pole... there is undeniable truth in that "jokes" about something that's similar to what has been or is being done are more delicate than ones about mostly implausible things. Arguments about "reverse racism" in particular completely miss the meaning of "racism", both semantically and emotionally.
That doesn't mean that it isn't a clear example of a double standard in the topic of the parent post, and arguably that makes the perps lose moral high ground, and is certainly counter-productive to ending similar behavior.
