Have you ever blocked someone that you have had no interaction with?

I was checking my notifications and someone had added a new comment to a question I’d already answered. I went to look at it and I couldn’t, because they’ve blocked me! I don’t believe I’ve had any interaction with this person, so I was a bit surprised. It seems a bit premature to block someone without ever speaking to them imho.

Depends. I haven’t seen anything you’ve posted that was offensive (to me). But sometimes I’ve seen posters who made openly racist or misogynistic comments. I don’t need to speak to them to know we’re unlikely to get along. And I’d rather not wait until they decide to comment on my posts.
