Have you ever blocked someone that you have had no interaction with?

I was checking my notifications and someone had added a new comment to a question I’d already answered. I went to look at it and I couldn’t, because they’ve blocked me! I don’t believe I’ve had any interaction with this person, so I was a bit surprised. It seems a bit premature to block someone without ever speaking to them imho.

I found out about that only recently. My good friend explained to me that most of those deleted answers were from people who had possibly blocked me. I didn't know any of them.

I don't normally choose to be involved in arguments so I was surprised. I was a tad curious as well.
