Have you ever blocked someone that you have had no interaction with?

I was checking my notifications and someone had added a new comment to a question I’d already answered. I went to look at it and I couldn’t, because they’ve blocked me! I don’t believe I’ve had any interaction with this person, so I was a bit surprised. It seems a bit premature to block someone without ever speaking to them imho.

I do it frequently, mainly if I see a political comment, I just cut em off right there, I don't need to or want to get involved in a political debate.
