I enjoy talking to them. I'm a 'Christ fan' myself, but I've had a hell of a time with what I call the "paradox of omniscience" and I like to hear how other believers have dealt with that issue. I believe the apostolic creed, but I've found the biggest challenges to my faith came from carefully and methodically studying the bible. I believe Jeremiah 8:8 and context provides the disclaimer that the bible is written by fallible humans and is therefore as fallible as any other human literary work.
The Paradox of Omniscience- God knows everything everywhere infinitely and throughout eternity. God's knowledge transcends concepts of 'future' and 'past'.
If one accepts that God is omniscient, then a huge part of the writings contained in the bible cease to make any sense at all. Genesis 6:6 for one of thousands of examples. How does an "omniscient" being "regret" any decision He makes? Genesis 10 and 11- How would an omniscient God not realize that a language barrier is the epitome of 'temporary'. Why does God say the world speaks different languages in Gen 10 and then say the world spoke the same language in the next chapter? Omniscience renders huge parts of the bible irrational and illogical.
