Anyone else feel bad telling Jehovah's witnesses to go away?

I found that being honest and not beating around the bush helps. I used to live in a neighborhood close to a JW church so they were prone to trying occassionally.
The last time they came to my door I said something like,"Look, I used to be a Christian and my own father is a preacher. I have now rejected that faith after reading the bible from cover to cover. If you give me that pamphlet in your hand I am going to throw it straight into the rubbish bin as you leave. I suggest you rather give it to someone who might read it. Have a nice. Goodbye."
They never came around again. I presume I was removed from the "can possibly be converted list".
