Anyone else feel bad telling Jehovah's witnesses to go away?

When I lived in an apartment building, they knocked on the door all the time. As a home nudist, I tried to get them to stop by peeking through the view hole, then opening the door naked, but that did not stop them from standing there and explaining their quest and shoving their papers at me..
So I got some advice that finally stopped them forever from knocking on my door:
I cordially invited them in to sit and chat with coffee and tea, while I pretended to be interested..
Then I offered to write them a check, but explained that I was leery that it would all get to the church with them handling it.. And I'd rather deliver it to the church myself (like in the offering plate at a service).
So I needed the church address and the pastor/elder name to make the check out to (not the church name)...
After I got the information, I kicked them out of my apartment and told them to take my name and address off their list to visit or if anyone from their church knocked on my door again I'd go to the law to get them to stop.
NEVER HEARD FROM ANY Jehovah's witnesses again...
