What makes someone a loser?

The word gets tossed around a lot, but what's the distinction between losing and being a loser?

When society psychologically tries to marginalize individuals to lower rank that's when the word loser is coined freely.

@iQuit What makes society want to do that?

@1455spd it's in human nature to be competitive to survive. If a person can break down another's moral then there's a good chance said person might accept defeat as a "loser" or surprise those who antagonize them and surpass expectations to become a winner.

@iQuit It doesn’t seem like those two groups are competing with each other though. It’s more mean-spirited than strategic

@1455spd At first it might not seem like they are valuable adversaries but deep down any opponent given the opportunity can work to surpass (said winner) to become victor.

Fables such as the tortoise and the hare is one that comes to mind.

Sure it's mean spirited but deep down the alpha must impose some dominance in order not to be out ranked
