How do you deal with disrespect?

I mean sure we all have our ups and downs and maybe tell off even those we are close to at some point in our life but..."close" friends aren't supposed to diss you, hurl abusive words at you, make you feel like you're worth nothing, or insult you in various ways by making you think you're inferior to them right?

How do you deal with those? Do you forgive them and try again, or just move on?

I usually just try to ignore it. But then again you either like me or you hate me so I never really put up with crap from people these days X_x

@SW-User Yeah, people who give you crap are the worst. They over work you for nothing especially when they know you're unwell. Like me lately -_-

@SW-User I've been very unwell. I can't tolerate people working me up very well lately even if it's my closes friends and especially not when I've been nothing but nice to them.

@SW-User Well I'm giving them a break from my ugly face. Sounds fair I guess. Thanks :) I've had a nasty flare up of asthma that wouldn't let me breathe since the end of August.

You're welcome and wow that's almost two months now. O_O I'd be a little scared if it were me to be honest.

@SW-User I was. ER treated me so badly. 3 times in a row and 3 times I was denied proper treatment. I began proper treatment a few days ago and I'm recovering slowly but at a steady pace. I think unless others go through it they'll never know how bad or scared you feel when you can't breathe just by existing...

@SW-User I don't know. I read it can mess with your moods. But in general I'm still trying to get over with all that's happened in this time frame.

@SW-User 3 times ER, 3 times my incompetent young GP, 4 times the polyclinic THEN private specialist.
