I think a lot of people falsely tag your generation with that moniker when there's been plenty of the same behaviors demonstrated by those from older generations, too. Disparaging younger generations has been going on for decades. My generation was tagged as "slackers" by the generation tagged as "hippies" by their parents' generation. In 20 years, your generation will slap some tag on your kids' generation. Wash, rinse, repeat.

@SW-User thank you for not getting pissed off by my question smh won't believe some of the messages i got lol. I kinda sorta agree. I do feel my generation is soft as fuck though. Just my personal opinion.

@Dr3am My generation was viewed that way, too. According to our parents generation, we were spoiled, lazy, MTV watching, video game playing sloths. My kids are of your generation, and most of them and their friends are engaged in the world around them and goal-oriented.
I think the idea of "soft" is grounded in the fact that as we've made more technological progress, there are fewer and fewer manual labor jobs. Instead of needing 30,000 people on assembly lines, maybe it only takes 300 people to manage and maintain the robots that are doing the same thing now. People who do technical jobs work hard, but it's with their minds more than their hands and are considered "soft" compared to those who labored directly on the line.
Working smarter and towards less materialistic and more philanthropic goals shouldn't be considered weakness. It should be considered progress. However, this country is operating under this warped idea that cruelty equates to strength while kindness equates to weakness or being soft.

No, people want to to be able to be rude, racist, sexist and homophobic without anyone standing up to them.

Think the internet and social media facilitate it. Main stream news picks it up and go nuts and then government listens. IMO back in rl, if youre being a tw@t you'll get a smack. Like it's always been.

Ben Shapiro isn't wrong. I agree with him too. And yes everybody is too sensitive these days where you can't even tell a joke without risking your life being ruined now. I hate to say this, but people are being completely pussified now.
MarmeeMarch · M
This is a new word for me - I had to look that one up about 2 months ago.

Nah it’s typical for old people to say that for every generation
TickleTortureYouUntilTears · 36-40, M
I do. People are way too sensitive online on Social Media websites, and in real life. Anything offends people now a days. People don't know how to laugh anymore
TickleTortureYouUntilTears · 36-40, M
@Dr3am lol Well then all those people, can go suck on a big fat black burnt giant Johnsonville Hot Dog. The Beddar with Cheddar flavored ones 😂
Dr3am · 31-35, F
@TickleTortureYouUntilTears 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😬 ohhh boy better not let them hear that.
TickleTortureYouUntilTears · 36-40, M
@Dr3am That's about as nasty I can get, I'm bad at coming up with and thinking of burns. I'm bad at telling people off, so take it or leave it 🙂
